About us

Brompton Primary School
is a small school located 4km
from the Adelaide CBD. Our school
has a strong teaching focus on literacy, numeracy, PE and healthy
eating in addition to science and the arts, including access to an
instrumental music program. Our school prides itself on developing
positive relationships with our students and
their families in
order to achieve optimal benefits for
student learning.
Student voice through the Student Representative Council and student
leadership group
is also encouraged. Our school is characterised
by its cultural, educational and social diversity, having many
Aboriginal students, students from non-English speaking backgrounds
and economically-disadvantaged students. As such, there is strong
emphasis on the explicit teaching of social skills that support
learner wellbeing and promote a spirit
of generosity and
acceptance among community members.
Restorative practices
are used to foster positive relationships and ensure issues are
resolved respectfully. The values of respect, rigour, responsibility
and relationships
underpin our values education program and are
transparent across the school
